Our Adele

I suspect that a lot of you that read this journal already know what I am about to say but for those of you who don't, Monday morning Adele awoke with a slight cough and a fever. After both her nurse and Dr. Howard saw her it was determined that she was to be taken to the hospital (Hoag Hospital in Newport) to see what was exactly wrong.
After many tests, we were told that she had an infection. They began treating it immediately. They also made her as comfortable as possible in ICU.
Tuesday morning, Adele had a MRI. (She was suppose to have one done on Monday at UCLA Medical Center) Early afternoon the family had a consultation with the neurosurgeon, Dr. Duma. He informed that family that the treatments had not had the impact they had hoped for, in fact the tumor in the back had enlarged and there were new small ones that had formed. The doctor then told the family that they was nothing they could do but make Adele comfortable.
So that is what is being done.
Adele is at Hoag Hospital (in Hospice) where she is constantly surrounded by her loving family and friends. She can accept visitors anytime.
